MTN Invests 273 Million Dollars in Network Upgrade

MTNMTN, Ghana’s largest telecommunication company as part of providing subscribers the best of network satisfaction spent 273 million dollars on improving the network and systems upgrade to eliminate issues of network congestion in 2013.

Mr James Bukari Basintale, General Manager of MTN Northern Sector made this known when he paid a familiarization visit to A1 Radio to acquaint himself with the operations of the station and to acknowledge the role the station is playing in the telecommunication sector.

He said the company recognized its clients and subscribers in the provision of quality uninterrupted service, adding that the company had dispatched a team of network engineers to various regions to enhance the network coverage.

By close of last year, he said MTN had upgraded its network in 170 districts throughout the country with 3G coverage to improve internet services, adding that the company would re-engineer efforts to provide the best of service to its subscribers.

Mr Bukari Basintale indicated that as part of a blood donation exercise, the company had raised 625 pines of blood for the various blood banks across the country for which the company was awarded for the largest Corporate Blood Donor nationwide by the Ministry of Health.

Mr Collins Adjei, Regional Sales Manager of MTN pledged the company’s commitment in service delivery throughout the region.

On his part, Head of Programmes, Emmanuel Aboagye called for renewed collaboration and strengthened relations by both entities to provide the Upper East the best in terms of service delivery.
