Four districts to benefit from Rebecca Foundation medical outreach

ll is set for a successful medical outreach in four districts in the Upper East Region by the Rebeca Foundation with support from the Upper East Regional Coordinating Council and the Ghana Health Service.

Beneficiary districts in the region are the Kassena-Nankana West, Builsa South, Nabdam and the Bawku West Districts.

The medical outreach is an initiative of the first lady of Ghana, Rebecca Akufo-Addo and has been carried out in other parts of the country with technical support from the Ghana Health Service.

In the Upper East Region the medical outreach is expected to start from the Kassena-Nankana West District on August 4, 2019. On August 5, 2019 the Bawku West District will have its turn, then Builsa South District on August 7. The medical team will end the medical outreach programme at Nabdam on August 8, 2019.

The first lady of Ghana, Rebecca Akufo-Addo is expected to be in the Upper East Region and be present at all the venues of the medical outreach programme to interact with community members as well, over their other developmental challenges.

The Upper East Regional Minister, Tangoba Abayage is happy because residents of the beneficiary districts will get the opportunity to be diagnosed by specialists and possibly get referred with the right diagnoses of the problems for further medical attention.

The Upper East Regional Minister, believes that once the first lady visits the beneficiary districts and comes across developmental challenges, she will help in addressing through the Rebecca Foundation.
