‘Ras Worms’ extends generosity to deprived basic schools

Self styled multi-lingual Hip Life musician based in the Upper East Region Michael Asampana known in the music space as ‘Ras Worms’ has extended his benevolence to one of the deprived basic schools in the Bongo District .

Ras worms whose name has become a household name is synonymous to the songs he produce under the record label ‘Ras worms Entertainment’ because of the lyrical contents which easily resonate with the local listeners.

The beneficial school  Akulyoo D/A Primary was thrown agog when Ras Worms and his crew stormed the premises of the school. The school children could be heard singing various lines in some songs he has produced especially  his most popular hit track “Rap Pastor’’ which preaches against profanity and laziness of the youth in society .

The Musician cum Philanthropist joined the school children to have fan after which he encouraged them to take their lessons serious to become responsible personalities in the future. Ras Worms said the main reason for his kind gesture was to give back to society the little he has earned from his career as a musician. He encouraged the pupils to persevere despite the odds because the great men in society were once like them.

‘’You have to learn hard so that you can also become useful people worth emulating in the future. I was once like you so I know the problems but you don’t have to give up… Just continue to dream big’’ he said

While presenting some assorted drinks with biscuits ,books and pencils to the children, he expressed gratitude to the District education directorate and the school authority for giving him the opportunity to meet the pupils.

The Bongo District Director of Education represented by peter MacLean Adogbila eulogized the musician for his inspiring and educative lyrics and content of music he churns out to the public in an attempt to fight ills in society .he however, raised concerns about the creeping of profanity and vulgar diction into contemporary hip life music that has eroded the moral fabric of society as the younger generation is easily led astray with such contents.

Meanwhile, Head Teacher of Akulyoo D/A primary school, Emmanuel Akafari also thanked the Team from Ras Wormz Entertainment and assured his pupils that he will periodically invite influential personalities to the school to motivate those with hidden talents to showcase their skills.

The ‘Alo kate’ hit maker has produced so many songs to his label with his latest trending tracks ‘La kan po’or seym, Yelibisa featuring prominent Guitarist Stevoo and a host of others.
