Stop chasing white collar jobs; start small businesses – Charger Limited CEO

The Chief Executive Officer of Charger Limited, producer of Happy Man Bitters, Emmanuel Bortey Borketey, has challenged the youth of Ghana to be more focused on developing their talents and acquiring skills that would make them successful in future.

According to him, one of the best alternatives for today’s youth, is to establish small businesses that have the potential of growing into bigger ventures and desist from banging all their hopes on securing white collar jobs.

“I entreat you all to be more focused on developing your talents and skills, because the world today demands more of these qualities. Stop chasing after white collar jobs and rather start small businesses. I will see to it that the talents here in Navrongo do not die off.”

The Chief Executive Officer of Charger Limited was speaking at the end of an inter-community soccer competition dubbed “HAMISOC Tournament 2019” and sponsored by the company, as part of its corporate social responsibilities in the Kassena Nankana Municipality in the Upper East Region.

The tournament brought together various football clubs in the area to compete among themselves.

Meanwhile, Mboma City football club emerged winners of the competition after three months of struggle.

The club was given a cheque for GHc3,000.00 for winning the tournament, while the second and third placed teams had GHc1,500.00 and GHc1,000.00 respectively.
