UER:All 5 aspirants cleared to contest NPP Primaries

All five parliamentary candidates from three constituencies have been cleared to contest in the upcoming primaries of the governing New Patriotic Party(NPP) in the Upper East Region.

In a memo containing the clearance of the aspirants sighted by A1 News, the National vetting committee said “the Upper East Region held its vetting of the Aspiring Parliamentary Candidates (APCs) on Monday, the 2nd day of March, 2020 at the Regional Secretariat Bolgatanga.

In line with the rules and regulations governing the conduct of the parliamentary primaries, the following APCs have been recommended by the National Parliamentary Vetting Committee to contest the upcoming parliamentary primaries scheduled for Saturday, the 25th day of April, 2020”.

The statement further stated that “all the Five (5) APCs comprising One (1) female and Four (4) males have been accepted by the National Executive Committee (NEC) to contest in the Constituencies”.

Below are the Constituencies and aspirants:

ZEBILA CONSTITUENCY
(i) Hon Frank Fuseini Adongo
(ii) Dr. John Kingsley Krugu

NAVRONGO CENTRAL CONSTITUENCY
(i) Hon. Tangoba Abayage
(ii) Hon. Joseph Kofi Adda

TEMPANE CONSTITUENCY
(i) Hon. Joseph Dindiok Kpemka

Meanwhile,the National Parliamentary Vetting Committee hasn’t expressed
The National Parliamentary Vetting Committee has expressed profound gratitude to the Regional Executives, Constituency Executives, APCs, their supporters for the good sportsmanship displayed before, during and after the vetting exercise.

The Committee has however cautioned party faithful to remain disciplined ahead of the elections

“It is the cherish hope of the Committee that all members in the respective constituencies will put their shoulders to the wheel to support whoever emerges on the 25th April, 2020 contest in order for the party to resoundingly retain the seat and give Four (4) more years to NANA ADDO-DANKWA AKUFO-ADDO the President of the Republic of Ghana and the Commander-in-Chief of the Ghana Armed Forces” the statement signed by
Cletus Innocent Ayambire Secretary of the National Parliamentary Vetting Committee Upper East Region, Bolgatanga added.
