Black Queens Eye Africa Glory

Black QueensThe Head Coach of the Senior Women’s National Team, the Black Queens, Yusif Basigi has declared his desire to lift the trophy at the African Women’s Championship to be staged in Namibia in October this year.

Speaking to A1 Sports in an interview, the coach who doubles as the head coach of Hasaacas FC said “My target is to win the African women’s championship for the first time and to subsequently qualify the Black Queens for the World Cup to be staged in Canada.”

Mr. Basigi acknowledged the feat will not be achieved on a silver platter saying “It does not come easily but with hard work and determination coupled with discipline which has been our hallmark we will bring the trophy.”

The Black Queens is paired with South Africa, Cameroon and Algeria in the African women’s championship slated from 11-24th October in Namibia.
