Deputy YEA Boss embarks on public sensitization on Covid19

Deputy Chief Executive Officer incharge of Operations at the Youth Employment Agency(YEA)Alhaji Ibrahim Bashiru has intervened swiftly to intensify education on prevention of Coronavirus in the Tempane Constituency.

He has mobilized personal funds to procure Veronica Buckets, 700 pieces of alcohol based hand Sanitizers,200 pieces of Liquid Soaps to be placed at vantage areas such as Palaces,Markets and Youth bases in the Tempane communities of the Upper East Region.

The donation was timely especially at the time the country had recorded cases of the disease with the Upper East Region been the latest to be added to the confirmed cases.

It has therefore become necessary for residents in that enclave of the region to be properly educated on the precautionary measures because of the daily contact of residents with foreigners from neighboring Burkina Faso and Togo.

Aside, the donation of these items, Alhaji Bashiru has constituted a Team of Professional Health Personnel to be in charge of education on Covid19 at public gatherings in the constituency in order to prevent an outbreak of the disease.

According to Alhaji Bashiru , the motive behind setting up the health team was to ensure that awareness creation reached every corner of the district since that will go a long way to solve the situation on the ground.

“I’ve constituted a Team of professionally trained health personnel to be in charge of educating the people at market places, youth bases ,Chief palaces and public gatherings. You know that with this Covid19, education solves almost 70 percent of the spread of the disease and that is why I’ve resourced the health team to carry out this activity” he noted.

speaking on the porous nature of the borders in the region which is of grave concern,Alhaji Bashiru expressed optimism that the District Security Council will not relent it’s efforts in ensuring the safety of residents.

He however called on the people of Upper East to be vigilant and support the government succeed in the restriction of human migration into the country as part of measures to avoid the spread of Coronavirus.

Meanwhile, the donation of items to Tempane Constituency by the Deputy YEA Boss was one of his personal support in varied forms for the past 12 years to propel development in that area. He has been phenomenal and supportive even at the time his government was in opposition.
