The time to be extra vigilant is now !let’s work together to fight Covid19-Minister

Ghanaians have been urged to be extra vigilant and support the fight against Coronavirus in the country to prevent it’s spread.

Ghana currently has a total case of 205 confirmed cases of Covid19 from six out of sixteen regions.

The latest to record a confirmed case is the Upper East Region where a pregnant woman has tested positive and is reported to have absconded from the hospital.

The situation has created fear and panic in the region following the circumstances surrounding the case.

But in a statement issued by the Upper East Regional Minister, Tangoba Abayage and copied A1 News, residents have been advised to remain calm as authorities work assiduously to tackle the situation on the ground.

Madam Tangoba said “It is was reported and circulated in the media that the patient had absconded from the Bolgatanga hospital.However,based on additional information gathered from GHS, the patient is currently on admission at the Regional hospital pending additional laboratory test next week to declare her fully recovered from COVID-19 before discharge.”

She added that ”the patient is clinically stable and in good health as at today 4th April, 2020, the sore throat and cough have subsided and she is able to eat without discomfort.
