Security personnel who have been filmed brutalizing civilians on the streets of Ghana in the lockdown affected areas have been withdrawn from the exercise.
This was made known by President Nana Akufo Addo in his 5th address to the nation on Covid19.
You would recall some security officers have been captured allegedly dealing with persons who were found on the streets not classified under essential service workers. Even some essential workers according to circulating video reports,have also been attacked by the security personnel.
But President Nana Akufo Addo has condemned the acts and called on the public to remain calm as drastic measures have been put in place to tackle the unfortunate situation.
He has however called on the public to cooperate with security officials in order for the purpose of the lockdown to be achieved.
