The Team of Health Technocrats set up by the National Democratic Congress to fight against Covid19 has run to the rescue of health personnel in the Upper East Region.
There have been grave concerns raised in the region about inadequate medical essentials to protect health workers to fight Coronavirus. This has led to patients been abandoned for fear of infectious by the health professionals.
Several appeals have therefore been made for government and philanthropists to intervene.
But a Team of NDC officials led by it’s Regional Chairman ,Alhaji Mumuni Bolnaba has made a presentation of medical essentials on behalf of His Excellency former President John Dramani Mahama to the management of the Upper East Regional hospital.
The items are; of 40 sets of PPE, 30 boxes of N95 Face mask, 20 Gum boots, 90 Foot covers, 1000 Surgical gloves, 130 Coverall, 30 boxes of bottled water, 430 Medicated soap, 100 pieces of Liquid soap and 20 Safety Goggles.
This is part personal assistance of John Mahama and the NDC to the health professionals across the country to aid the in the fight against COVID 19.
The delegation included Chairman Alhaji Bolnaba who led the presentation together with Dr Vida Yakong( NDC Covid- 19 Technical Team Representative), Dr Thomas Anaba(Former CEO, Rigde Hospital), Regional Secretary Mr Akamugri, Mr Muntawakilu Adams(Organizer), Alhaji Tijani Regional Communications Officer and other Regional executive.
