Rev. Nii Adesah, the chairman for the Ghana Amputee Football Association has revealed the association is financially handicapped as it prepares for the Amputee World Cup to be staged in Mexico this year.

The Chairman revealed in an interview with TV3 that, the body is going through hard times in their preparations to represent Ghana at the World stage.

“We are facing difficult times because cash for the trip itself is a very difficult problem” he lamented.

Rev. Nii Adesah used the opportunity to call on Stakeholders, Corporate bodies and individuals to come to the aid of the association which has been in the neglect for long.

“We call on corporate entities, stakeholders and individuals who are touched to come on board to help us in our preparations for the tournament”.  Those were the words of the Chairman as he solicited financial assistance for the Ghana Amputee football team.

The Reverend also touched on some glories of the Amputee team, stating categorically that Ghana is the only African team that has five of her players playing professional Amputee football in Turkey so if they are supported, it will also help reduce the unemployment rate in the country.

The Ghana Amputee Football team has qualified for the Amputee World Cup which is slated for November 30th -8th December this year in Mexico.
