The Upper East Region has recorded a total of 282 confirmed cases of COVID-19 out of 2,818 suspected cases and contacts, a report has disclosed.
Out of the 15 districts and municipalities of the region, the Bolgatanga Municipal recorded the highest suspected and contacts cases of COVID-19, whilst, the Talensi District, recorded the highest confirmed COVID-19 cases of 245.
However, 279 COVID-19 patients have recovered and discharged to their respective communities.
The region also recorded two (2) COVID-19 deaths while one patient absconded from an isolation centre in Kassen Nankana Municipal.
The report indicates that, more females in the Talensi District have contracted the virus compared to their male counterparts.
