Ashanti Regional Chairman of the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP), Bernard Antwi Boasiako a.k.a Chairman Wontumi says, former President John Dramani Mahama did not goof when he said Nana Addo and the NPP have done eight years; ” it was not a mistake, he was prophesying and so shall it be. Akufo Addo and the NPP will get four more years to do more.”
According to Chairman Wontumi, when King Saul in the Bible, became envious of the blessing on David and desired to kill him, David ran to the house of God for refuge and when the thugs sent by King Saul saw David, they rather proclaimed him the King and spared his live. King Saul angered that the thugs could not kill David, moved to the place to kill David, but upon seeing him, King Saul proclaimed David the King of Israel.
Chairman Wontumi believes that just as the Bible says “out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaketh;” former president Mahama proclaimed eight years for Nana Addo in that interview he granted the media after registering.
“… do you know where he said that? His own home town; Bole and that is how God works. Please don’t say it was a mistake; it was not a mistake. He spoke about the good thing that is about to happen to the NPP.”
Chairman Wontumi was speaking in an interview with Paul Adom Okyere on the Good Evening Ghana programme on Metro TV on Thursday August 13, 2020.
According Chairman Wontumi, the just ended voter registration exercise in the Ashanti Region has taken away the ghost names from the voters register in the region for which reason he (Chairman Wontumi) was hopeful of capturing all the 47 parliamentary seats in the Ashanti region for the NPP come December 7.
“I am so sure of this victory because am seeing the signs; that are [is] why even Muntaka has been saying that he has served four terms so if he goes it OK. He knows he will lose.”
