After Barcelona’s humiliating defeat against Bayern Munich in the Lhampions League quarter finals Friday night, Center-back, Gerard Pique has called for the need for the club to make changes without sparing anyone in the club.
Barca were thrashed 2-8 Friday night in Lisbon in what seems to have shocked many fans and has been described as a total annihilation of Barca.
The Champions League was Barca’s only hope to win a trophy this season since they came second to Madrid in the Laliga and fell out of the Copa del Rey this season.
The player has described the loss as painful and tough to take. He reckons there has to be changes at the club.
Talking about how shameful it was after the game he noted the entire structure of the club needs changes.
Pique’s winning of the Champions League in 2009 with the club when Pep Guardiola was in charge won’t be enough reason to stay if he is deemed as surplus to requirements.
