The Convention People’s Party (CPP) Parliamentary candidate for the Zebilla Constituency Benjamin Anafo has called on the former Member of Parliament for the Zebilla Constituency Cletus Apul Avoka to retire his political career as he has nothing to offer constituents after serving five terms in office as MP.

Speaking on Reporter’s Visit on A1 Radio, the CPP Parliamentary candidate said, Cletus Avoka has been in Parliament for long and the constituency has remained undeveloped.

Mr. Anafo, appealed to electorates to vote out Mr Avoka in the December polls, arguing that, he has nothing new to offer the good People of Zebilla.

He further indicated that, Mr. Avoka has exceeded the retirement age and his capability of thinking is not more active unlike his earlier days, hence he needed to go home and rest.

“Honorable Cletus Avoka has been there for long, we have not seen what he has done and to me if he has done something we don’t think that at this time he can do something better than what he has already done. If you look at him, in the public sector when you are up to 60 years you are supposed to go on retirement, he has even gone past the 60years. So, it means his capability of reasoning and understanding too has reduced and it is nature, and he is saying he is going for the last time.

If he has not been able to fulfill the promises that he made or the needs of the constituents, I don’t know what he is going there to do. So, he has nothing to offer to the people of Zebilla constituency, and I can say if he want to go, maybe, because he has no work elsewhere to do, and he thinks that, he want to hang in that seat until the time that God will call him. We can not sit down and allow this to happen because we have capable people in the Zebilla constituency who can represent the people”.

Mr. Anafo, therefore appeal to the constituents to vote massively for him and the CPP in the up coming general elections, because he is coming to provide the constituents their needs and not empty promises.
