UPPER EAST NABCO SUPPORTS MAMA LAADI’S FOSTER HOME

As part of activities to climax its second year anniversary celebration, the Upper East Regional Secretariat of the Nation Builders Corps (NABCO), has donated assorted items to Mama Laadi’s Foster Home at Yorogo, a suburb of Bolgatanga in the Upper East Region.

The items included bags of rice, cartons of milk, bags of water, soft drinks, toiletries and face masks. The rest were gallons of cooking oil, maize, tomato paste, washing and bathing soap.

The gesture by NABCO is expected to support the management of the orphanage whiles helping with the overall wellbeing of the children.

Speaking at a brief presentation ceremony, the Upper East Regional Coordinator for NABCO, Khan Jambeidu, noted that his outfit appreciates the difficulties of such facilities as foster homes particularly during the outbreak of Covid-19; and indicated their resolve to support the orphanage.

He said “Due to Covid-19 and its effects on facilities like the Mama Laadi Foster Home, the Regional NABCO Secretariat decided to take part of its celebrations to the Children’s Home to provide some relief and support.”

Receiving the donation, Madam Laadi Ayine, was thankful for the support from NABCO and assured them that the items will be put to good use.

Present to witness the donation exercise were District NABCO Coordinators and number of NABCO trainees in the region.

October 2020, marks two years of the inception of NABCO. It is an initiative that saw the recruitment of hundred thousand graduates in various sectors of Ghana’s economy.
