The Paramount Chief of the Navrongo Traditional Area, Navro-Pio P3 Denis Asagpaare Aneakwoa Balinia Adda II, has expressed gratitude to MTN Ghana for what he described as their timely intervention in offering them logistical support to fight COVID-19.
According to him, the support from MTN Ghana came at a time that will go a long way to facilitate their continuous effort in educating the people of the area about the presence of Corona virus and the need to continue practicing the safety protocols.
Speaking to the media at his palace after receiving the donated items, Navro-Pio commended MTN Ghana for the gesture.
He called on residents as well as visitors to continue observing the safety protocols.
“I want to use this opportunity to insist that the virus is still with us and that’s the reason MTN has come out with this support. So, I will appeal to everyone to see the wearing of nose mask, washing hands regularly with soap and water and using sanitizer as important.”
The items donated by MTN Ghana included; Veronica buckets, nose masks and gallons of liquid soap. The rest were packs of tissue papers and hand sanitizers.
Sales and Marketing Manager of MTN Ghana, Richard Asamani, expressed the commitment of the telecommunication giant to support the national effort in fighting the Covid-19 pandemic.
He noted that so long as Corona Virus remains a threat to human lives, his outfit will continue to render support to various communities to minimize its spread.
Mr. Asamani also added his voice in urging the general public to be circumspect and continue to observe all Covid-19 safety and preventive protocols; by always wear nose mask to protect themselves against the virus.
“We always say; ‘wear it for me’, we seek to brighten lives and limit the impact of the pandemic.” He said.
