ELECTORATE URGED TO PRACTICE PEACE AT POLLING STATIONS

Deputy Director of the Diaspora Affairs at the Office of the President, Dr. Nadia Adongo Musah has cast her vote with a call on electorate to practice and observe peace at the various polling stations.

According to her Ghana is a nation noted for peace and tranquility therefore the public should not use the day of elections to cause troubles.

Dr. Nadia who cast her vote at the Gambibgo Junior Secondary School (JSS) polling station in the Bolgatanga East Constituency of the Upper East Region explained that voting was about exercise one’s thoughts and not war.

She said “Voting is all about sharing your thoughts of understanding; knowing who is worth your vote and why. So I entreat you all to see the election as an exercise of ideas and not war grounds. Despite our political differences, we are brothers and sisters, fathers and mothers, let’s think of that.”

She also expressed satisfaction over the general observance of the COVID-19 safety protocols, particularly the wearing of face masks by electorate at the polling stations.

“I’m happy to see you all wearing your face masks as well as observing the social distancing protocols.” She stated.

By close of elections today, the Gambibgo JSS Polling Station is expected to record 640 total votes cast.
