OtooThe Board Chairman for Accra Hearts of Oak, Togbe Afede XIV, has given in-form Mahatma Otoo a two-week ultimatum to decide on his fate with the club, A1 Radio understands.

Otoo, who is a joint top scorer in the Ghana Premier League, has barely two months left on his contract with the Phobians and per the Fifa rules, a player is allowed to negotiate with any club with less than six months left on his existing contract.

This has given room for clubs both local and international to begin talks with the captain of the Rainbow Club with French giants Olympic Lyon and South Africa’s Mamelodi Sundowns leading the race for Otoo’s signature.

Conversely, Hearts of Oak have not been reluctant in their effort to get the goal poacher glued to the club. There have been several negotiations between the player and the management of the Oak Tree, but nothing positive has come up from them – though they are willing to increase his wage bill.

This has forced the board chairman of the former continental club masters to issue a two-week ultimatum to him to come out clear on his future as to whether he would continue his relationship with them or otherwise.

A1 Radio sources within the club indicate that Otoo will not extend his contract with Hearts of Oaks, but would prefer a new challenge in either the French Ligue 1 or the Premier Soccer League.

He is currently has 12 goals to his credit in the ongoing Ghana Premier League.
