Tangoba bears cost of checking BECE results

Upper East Regional Minister, Tangoba Abayage has announced that all Basic Education Certificate Examinations (BECE) graduates in Navrongo can check their results for free.

The West African Examinations Council (WAEC) has released the provisional results of the 2020 Basic Education Certificate Examinations (BECE).

A total of 531,707 candidates made up of 269,408 males and 262,299 females sat for the examination in September but the results of 497 candidates have been cancelled for engaging in various forms of examination malpractice.

The minister, who was the Parliamentary Candidate of the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP) for Navrongo Central constituency in the just ended elections, posted on her Facebook wall  on Thursday December 17, 2020 and listed the internet cafes in Navrongo that graduates can check their results for free.

She describes the gesture as her Christmas gift to BECE graduates in Navrongo.
