Ghanaian comedian and actor, Yaw Boadi aka Akrobeto has asked Ghanaians to embrace made in Ghana products as their contribution toward the growth of Ghanaian companies.
According to him, the foreign products Ghanaians are dying to have and use are produced by companies that started small and had the support of the people of the countries they are operating from.
“Every manufacturing company starts small, when people buy their products and find problems and report to them then they rectify and with time the product becomes better. This is what happens around the world. Here in Ghana, people will not buy local products and when others attempt to buy, they will try to discourage them.”
Akrobeto was speaking in an interview at the 40th Annual Tech Exhibition Fair, by the Kristo Asafo Mission in the Central region. On display were various products by the Kristo Asafo Mission including a number of Kantanka Cars.
According to Akrobeto, Kantanka products, especially the cars have suffered a lot of attacks and ridicule by many Ghanaians, but the founder of the Kristo Asafo Mission, Apostle Kwadwo Safo was never disappointed nor discouraged from pursuing his dream of becoming an automobile giant.
“The Kantanka products you see today have gone through various world class testing and have seen many improvement phases. So, the Kantanka cars for example are not inferior and can be compared to many cars produced anywhere in the world.”
