Defeated Member of Parliament (MP) for Kumbungu Constituency in the Northern Region, Ras Mubarak, has thanked his constituents for giving him the opportunity to serve as their MP in the last four years.
Ras Mubarak has lost his bid to contest on the ticket of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the 2020 Parliamentary election.
He was defeated by Dr. Hamza Adam, a lecturer at the University for Development Studies (UDS).
In what could be described as his final salutation, the outgoing MP posted on facebook that “It’s a wrap. Thank you Kumbungu for the opportunity to serve our great country. It’s been absolutely wonderful. And thanks to everyone who supported and encouraged us along the way.”
