Revered philanthropist and banker, Alhassan Andani lost his bid to represent the Northern Region on the Council of State.
The former Chief Executive Officer of Stanbic Bank polled 8 votes out of the total votes cast.
Mr. Andane lost to Chief Zung Mahamud Tahiru who obtained 23 votes out of the total votes cast to become a member of the Council of State, representing the Northern Region.
Meanwhile, former Member of Parliament for the Kumbungu Constituency, Ras Mubarak who also contested in the election, did not poll any vote in the election.
