While the National Democratic Congress (NDC) is in court to challenge the verdict of the Electoral Commission (EC) on the just ended 2020 elections, a member of the NDC Communication Team, Stephen Atubiga, has more questions begging for answers.
In a write-up copied to A1 Radio, Mr. Atubiga is questioning the credibility of Party Agents that were tasked to represent NDC at the EC’s strong room for the collation of the 2020 election results.
He wants to find out whether the NDC Agents knew what was expected of them at the strong room of the EC during collations processes.
“Did our agents know flipping of results were transmitted to EC strong room while they were in there? Did the EC give them copies of all results transmitted from across the regions? If yes, did they verify the numbers well? If votes were flipping, who did they complain to at the party office? How were they coordinating with our Elections Director at the party headquarters?”
Seeking more answers to his concerns, the onetime NDC presidential hopeful continued that “At what point did they start working with John Mahama directly? A lot of questions for them leaving the strong room with no NDC representative behind bubbles my mind. Well, there is nothing money can’t do. As we are holding the NPP responsible for the rigging and steeling of JDM NDC victory, who were the watchmen and sleepers that allowed it to happen?”
Mr. Atubiga further expressed surprise why the NDC’s flagbearer for the 2020 general election, John Dramani Mahama, has not yet dealt with the party’s Campaign Manager for the 2020 polls, Prof. Joshua Alabi; because according to him, Prof. Alabi failed in his assignment to ensure victory for the party.
He said “I am very surprised why JDM has not yet squeezed Prof. Alabi’s balls till he passes out; for disappointing him JDM and the party in poor strategic ways in collating of the December 7, results, especially in the EC strong room. As a campaign manager to a winning candidate JDM, Prof. Alabi should have been remorseful for his inactions of not being at the EC strong room himself as a campaign manager and not pulling his other aspirants along in helping him to deliver.”
Suspecting the Former UPSA Vice Chancellor of having a hidden agenda, Mr. Atubiga said “With all these incompetence shown by Prof. Alabi as a campaign manager to JDM and question around Alabi’s neck, he is still seen as a happy jack around JDM, waiting for 2024 to contest as an incompetent presidential candidate. I will whip Alabi well, well, for victory 2024. My victory will keep him hiding thinking he is in Tanzania, not Ghana.”
