The defeated American president, Donald Trump has been impeached for the second time.
This second impeachment is linked to his comments a week ago, which is believed to have motivated thousands of his supporters to attack the United States Capitol.
President Trump will go into history as the first American president to be impeached two times within a single term in office.
Members of the Democrats side of the United States Senate, voted 222 YES to the impeachment of Donald Trump, and zero voted NO. Meanwhile, on the Republican side, 10 voted YES and 197 voted NO.
Putting the above results together, a total of 232 Senators voted YES to impeach President Donald Trump, while a total of 197 Senators voted NO against the impeachment process.
Meanwhile, the Senate house impeachment managers have started the process towards a possible prosecution of Donald Trump.
