The 47 years old was relieved of his position for comments he made on an interview with German television Sport 1, He was captured in the interview saying he sees himself as more of a politician than a coach and also questioning club sporting director Leonardo reason for the transfer signing of Portuguese international Danilo Pereira.
Tuchel first game as Chelsea boss is at home against Wolverhampton Wonderers. Chelsea and their new coach would be hoping to right their wrong after they suffered a 2-1 defeat against their opponent in the first round of the league campaign back in late December last year.
