Ghanaian musician and businessman Samuel Asaa, popularly known as SamAiam, has released a new song, “Say No To Drugs,” as his foundation expands its campaign against drug abuse and indiscipline to junior high schools in the Upper East Region.
The release builds on a drug abuse and indiscipline awareness campaign undertaken by the SamAiam Foundation in selected senior high schools in 2025.
The foundation says the campaign is now being extended to junior high schools and other senior high schools across the region, using school outreach, mentorship and music to encourage young people to stay away from drugs.
SamAiam, who is based in the United States, said the song forms part of his commitment to youth development and efforts to promote drug-free communities.
“I am committed to all that I am doing for the people of the Upper East Region and will continue to do more,” he said.
Through its school outreach programmes, the SamAiam Foundation has been engaging students on the dangers of substance abuse while promoting discipline and responsible behaviour.
The foundation hopes the new song will provide another tool for communicating the anti-drug message, particularly among young people.
Public Relations Officer for the SamAiam Foundation, David Azure, called on schools, communities and the public to incorporate the song into programmes aimed at educating young people about drug abuse.
He also appealed to radio and television stations, DJs and other media practitioners to give the song airtime to broaden the reach of its message.
“We are calling on all media practitioners, DJs and individuals to try all their possible best and be playing the song all the time at all places for the song to get to the people and for them to get its benefits,” Mr. Azure said.
He said the foundation would continue working with schools, traditional authorities and other stakeholders to promote healthy lifestyles and responsible behaviour among young people in the Upper East Region.
The foundation also plans to distribute the song to schools and media organisations as part of the expanded campaign.
“Say No To Drugs” is available on major music streaming platforms.
