The Nabdam Constituency Youth Organiser of the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the Upper East Region, Lawrence Agengre, has been suspended indefinitely for allegedly diverting resources meant for the 2020 general election.
The Upper East Regional Secretariat was petitioned over the alleged misconduct in respect to 3 polling stations in the Kongo electoral area; based on which a decision was taken to suspend him.
In his letter of suspension signed by the Upper East Regional Secretary of NPP, the embattled youth organizer was directed to respond to the allegation against him within 4 days of receiving the letter.
The letter further directed him to hand over all properties of the party in his possession to the Constituency Chairman during the period of suspension.
When contacted by A1Radioonline.com for his take on the development, Mr. Agengre asked to be allowed some time for consultation before he comes out to make a public statement on the matter.
