David Atanga shines on his first match for F.C Admira

Ghanaian international, David Atanga scored his first goal for his new club, F.C Admira in a 3:1 victory over F.C Altach at the BSFZ-Arena stadium.

Atanga who is a native of Bolgatanga, the capital of the Upper East region scored in the second half to secure all the 3 maximum points for his new club.

Atanga whose parent club is German-2 Bundesliga Club, Holstein Kiel moved him to an Austrian Club Admira Wacker, on loan until the end of the season.

The German club is said to have sent him on loan because of lack of playing time in the current campaign. David Atanga however has scored on his first home debut for his new side who at the moment in the relegation zone.

The 24-year-old was the star performer in his side 3-1 victory cruising over fellow bottom club Altach. Goals from the Ghanaian midfielder and brace from United States’ international Andrew Wooten were enough to seal the victory for F.C Admira.

The youngster played the entire 90 minutes of the match setting up his teammate opener in the first half before scoring his personal goal in the second half to put his team on two goals advantage.

Although Chinedu Obasi will halve the deficit for Altach in the 76th minute when he scored, a late Andrew Wooten strike sealed the massive 3-1 win for Admira at the end of the match.

Admira’s next match is on Saturday away to Wolfsberger as they continue their fight to escape relegation in the Austrian Tipico Bundesliga.
