Kosta Papic and Ben Owu leave Hearts of Oak over interference

Accra Hearts of Oak head coach, Kosta Papic and goalkeeper’s coach Ben Owu have today, Tuesday, February 16, 2021, resigned from their positions.

It was rumored on Monday, February 15, 2021 that the two coaches were planning to part companies with the club respectively, but it’s now official as the Accra-based club has now confirmed the news on their Social Media handles.

The Serbian who joined Hearts of Oak on November 2020, second spell at the club lasted for only 3 months.

Papic first spell at Hearts was the season 2008/2009, he left the Phobias in the middle of the season on mutual consent after leading the league table with 10 points and with 7 games to finish the season due to what he termed managerial interference

The ex eSwatini coach, Kostadin has once again revealed, that he has decided to quit the Hearts of Oak job following the club’s top hierarchy interference in his job.

Ben Owu who is the goalkeepers trainer for the club has also parted ways with the one-time Confederation Cup winners.

Accra Hearts of Oak has now officially confirmed the news on their club website. Below is the official confirmation of the two coaches’ shocking exit.
