Two persons were killed on Saturday morning February 20, at Kpelgini near Yendi on the Yendi-Tamale road in the Northern Region when a Microfinance and Small Loans Centre (MASLOC) branded minibus and a saloon car collided head on.
Information available indicates that the driver of the saloon car in an attempt to swerve a pothole, lost control and veered into the lane of the minibus leading to the collision.
Passers-by who went to the rescue of the victims discovered that two of them had died.
The deceased have since been buried at Yandi while the injured persons are being treated the Yendi Municipal hospital.
