After serving the Upper East Region as a regional minister for two years, Tangoba Abayage has confidentially said with the achievement she has chalked during her tenure, she is exiting the doors of the region with satisfaction.

Madam Tangoba took over the affairs of the region in 2018 from Rockson Ayine Bukari who was reassigned to the Office of the President as Minister of State.

Before she was recalled to take up the position as a regional minister, Madam Tangoba was Ghana’s Ambassador to Italy.

When the presidency released a list of ministerial appointments for President Akufo-Addo’s second term, Madam Tangoba who failed to secure the Navrongo Central constituency seat for the New Patriotic Party in the 2020 general election was left out.

Stephen Yakubu, a former Member of Parliament for Binduri and Ambassador to Morocco was nominated to take over the affairs of the Upper East region from Tangoba Abayage.

But addressing a gathering of health workers in Bolgatanga, Madam Tangoba who believes she has lived up to the expectation of the people as a regional minister, stated that she is bowing out of the region shoulders high with her “boobs shooting up”.
