Self-styled Dancehall Queen, AK Songstress is bouncing back strongly with a praised song seeking to heal the world, as people battle against the global coronavirus pandemic.

The song, titled Hallelujah, she said was drowned from the current happenings in the world and seeks to bring peace and hope to people who have lost love ones.

AK Songstress whose real name is Akosua Kwakye told A1radioonline.com that her fans and music experts should not only listen to ‘Hallelujah’ as an ordinary song, but a song that seeks to bring hope and divine peace as the world battles to survive amidst the coronavirus pandemic.

Hallelujah, she said will be dropping on March 3, 2021.

“Dropping my first Praise and Worship banger this Wednesday, 3rd March 2021 ahead of my massive tune, featuring Edem. Let’s start the year singing Hallelujah #hallelujah #anticipate.”

But touching on her five years journey in the dancehall industry in Ghana, AK Songstress said the industry has not been fair to her genre.

“When all stopped doing real dancehall, and I remained loyal to the genre, the dancehall awards were still going to those who did not stick strictly to the genre. I have suffered because I stuck too long to the genre. Things are changing now because we are all doing other genres as well. I used my first 5 years doing strictly dancehall which I have suffered for because it is for a specialized group.”

She however called on her fans to expect more hit-to-hit songs this year as she will keep on pushing for the best.
