The Ghana Education Service (GES) has assured qualified but not-placed candidates of the 2020 Basic Education Certificate Examinations that there are enough vacancies to place them into Senior High School, Vocational or Technical Institutes.

The GES in an earlier statement on 2020 Computerised School Selection and Placement System (CSSPS) said, “out of the total number of 533, 693 registered candidates, 494, 530 candidates qualified to be placed. A total of 343,264 have automatically been placed in one of their choices while 151,266 qualified candidates could not be matched with any of their choices”

However, the GES in a latest update on its official Facebook page, urged the 151,266 candidates who qualified but could not be placed not to worry since their online portal has been opened for self-placement

The statement said, “Don’t panic, we are ready to give you a listening ear. We have enough vacancies available, if your performance did not match any of the chosen schools, proceed to self-placement on www.cssps.gov.gh.”

In the service’s attempt to resolve all outstanding challenges as soon as possible with regards to the CSSPS, regional call centers have been setup with 0900800700 and 0302987654 as call center numbers.
