The General Manager of Agreed Best Communications Limited, William Jalulah has called on the public to commit themselves and help the security agencies win the battle against crime-related issues.
According to him, the public owed itself a duty to assist the security personnel in terms of intelligence sharing to avert the increasing crime-related activities in the region.
Mr. Jalulah who spoke on Daybreak Upper East, A1 Radio’s morning program, opined that the security agencies alone cannot do the magic to end crime-related issues, hence the time for public assistance.
“Yes, it is the work of the security agencies to keep us safe, but where we are now, we all need to be involved. Involved in the sense that, we have to assist the police in terms of intelligence sharing. If you are in a community where you begin to notice a strange behavior of some people or faces, you can alert the police on it. Let us help the police to help keep our environment safe.”
Whiles calling on the public to support the security agencies, Mr. Jalulah noted that the security agencies ought to be more robotic in their operations.
“Now, the armed robbery incidents we have been hearing of late, suggest that they are using more sophisticated devices in their operations, so the police ought to match them in that length. We cannot continue to be hearing of robbery cases every day.”
