Ghana is currently experiencing a nationwide power outage outage after Ghana Grid Company Limited (GRIDCo) reported that “…at approximately 2:10Pm on Sunday March 7, 2021, a challenge in the power system led to a total system shutdown. This led to an interruption in power supply to all parts of the country.”
In a statement issued by management of the company, the general public has been assured that the technical team is currently working to restore power to all Bulk Power Supply Points in the country.
The statement also said GRIDCo is also working to ascertain the reasons behind the total system shutdown and will update the relevant stakeholders in due cause.
