DCOP Ampofo Duku retires, Dr. Sayiba Gariba takes over as Upper East Regional Police Commander

A replacement has been made at the Upper East Regional Police Command.

This follows the retirement of former Regional Commander, DCOP. Osei Kwaku Ampofo-Duku on  the 5th of March,2021.

In a release issued by the Ghana Police Service and copied A1radionline.com, Dr. Sayiba Pabi Gariba has taken over as the Regional Commander, effective 11th March,2021.

Prior to the posting of DCOP Dr. Sayibu Pabi Gariba,he was the Director In-Charge of Police Operations at the Headquarters in Accra.

DCOP. Pabi Gariba holds a Doctor of Social Science Degree in Human Resource Development from the University of Leicester, Master of Science (MSc) in Policing and Social conflicts from the Department of Criminology, University of Leicester in the United Kingdom.

He has also obtained different ranks and appointments within the Police Service in Ghana and abroad including Second in Command, Ghana Police Intelligence and Professional Stands  Bureau, National Police and Staff College Winneba January to March 2017. Deputy Regional Commander Upper West Region from January 2016 to February 2017.

The Ghana Police Service is therefore impressing upon the public for a greater collaboration  with the new administration to fight the growing trend of crime in the region.
