Upper East Regional Police Command is ready to deal with criminals ruthlessly

The Upper East Regional Police Command says it is prepared to combat crimes in the region.

The Upper East Regional Commander spoke to the media after a route march through some areas in the Bolgatanga Municipality on Friday, March 19, 2021.

The Upper East Regional Police Commander, DCOP Dr. Sayibu Pabi Gariba, noted that the Police in collaboration with other security agencies, particularly the Ghana Armed Forces, are ever ready to deal with persons and group of persons who are perpetrating crimes in the region.

According to the police commander, the police has what it takes to embark on any operation across the region to combat crime and maintain peace and security.

“We want to convey to the criminals, armed robbers, their agents, and their supporters in the region, that we will deal ruthlessly and decisively with any group that wants to undermine the security of the Upper East Region and the Bolgatanga township.

We also want to assure that we have the capacity and the ability to counter any armed robbing, violent crimes in the region and we have the support of our partners in the other security agencies and particularly the Ghana Armed Forces so no criminal should dare us.”

Indicating the structures been put in place to deal with criminal activities, DCOP Dr. Sayibu Pabi Gariba urged the general public to support the Police with information in order for them to have a successful operation in the region, stressing that security is a joined responsibility.
