The Suspended Outspoken Member of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Stephen Atubiga sounds worried and asking why the leadership of the party particularly its 2020 Campaign Team Manager, Joshua Alabi has not resigned from the party to pave way for new managers to take over.
He said, the Campaign Manager of the NDC in the run up to the 2020 general elections, ‘failed’ to produce any meaningful results with the IT system the party procured hence his inability to protect the party’s 2020 Presidential Candidate, John Dramani Mahama’s votes.
In a statement written on his Facebook wall and sighted by A1radioonlin.com, Mr. Atubiga said, “Alabi has shown incompetence in Coordinating with the election body of the NDC to collate the six million votes given us [NDC] by the grassroots”
He went further to say that, “The IT sector has failed us in collation of the results. The IT sector could have done better in giving us our victory results swiftly. You set a system like Binduri internet cafe and expect results? And he [Alabi] has still not resigned shamelessly.”
The National Democratic Congress has suspended Mr. Atubiga on the grounds of among other things, making ‘disparaging and unfounded’ comments about some key Senior Party Members including Joshua Alabi after failing to apologize to the latter personally, though he agreed to do so when he met with the party’s Functional Executive Committee.
However, Mr. Atubiga believes that Mr. Alabi is not above criticism and also not a special Party Member than others.
