Residents of Bawku West District in the Upper East Region have been assured of adequate security measures aimed at combating crime to be rolled out soon.
This follows series of robbery cases witnessed in the area.
The situation has caused fear,panic and sent shivers down the spines of residents after a recent horrible daylight attack was witnessed.
The reported invasion of robbers led to the killing of a primary school boy with other traders robbed off their cash.
Although the Ghana Police Service (GPS) has assured residents of public of safety measures put in place to tackle the situation, some residents have raised doubts about it.
But the Member of Parliament for Zebila in an interview on Starrfm monitored by A1radionline.com, has indicated a new approach to combating crime in the area will be rolled out soon.
” I have had a discussion with the IGP on the matter and scheduled to meet him in the coming days. Being a member of the Defense and Interior Committee in parliament, gives me access to all stakeholders in this regard and I am confident that a new approach to combating crime in the area will soon be rolled out” he stated.
