Nurudeen Issah Abubakar appointed registrar of UDS.

The University for Development Studies (UDS) through its Governing Council has appointed Nurudeen Issah Abubakar as the Registrar of the University.

A statement issued by the Office of the Registrar of the university and sighted by A1 Radio on Friday, confirmed the appointment of Mr Abubakar as the Registrar of the university following a meeting by the Governing Council of the institution held on Thursday, April 15th, 2021.

The statement said the appointment of Mr Abubakar will take effect from September 1st, 2021 after the retirement of the current registrar of the university Dr Abdulai Baba Tanko Zakaria.

Mr Abubakar holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Arabic and Philosophy, and a Master’s Degree in Archival Studies from the University of Ghana. He also has a Professional Certificate obtained from the Chartered Institute of Administrators and Management Consultants – Ghana.

Mr Nurudeen Issah Abubakar is currently the Deputy Registrar in-charge of Academic and Students’ Affairs and has held various positions such as Assistant Registrar, Faculty Officer among others since his appointment as Assistant Registrar in 2001.
