A1 Radioonline.com has gathered that President Nana Akufo-Addo has nominated the only New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) Member of Parliament in the Upper East Region, Abdulai Abanga as a Deputy Minister for Works and Housing.
The Binduri legislator pulled a surprise in the 2020 Parliamentary election when he unseated the National Democratic Congress’ (NDC) Dr. Robert Kuganaab-Lem. But for his victory, the NDC would have achieved their parliamentary target of winning all the fifteen seats in the Upper East Region.
Meanwhile, all the three MPs on the ticket of the governing party who lost their seats in the 2020 elections included Joseph Dindiok Kpemka of Tempane, Frank Fuseini Adongo od Zebilla and Josep Kofi Adda of Navrongo Central.
