Member of Parliament for Builsa South, Dr. Clement Apaak has described the current administration under the New Patriotic Party (NPP) led by President Akufo-Addo as a zone of corruption.
According to him, since coming to office in 2016, President Akufo-Addo and his Vice President Dr. Mahmudu Bawumia have never shown the interest or commitment to fighting corruption if not to hoax designed it to bait Ghanaians for political powers.
Speaking to A1Radioonline, Dr. Apaak who preferred to be called a ‘citizen watcher’ explained that the NPP-led government has lost the fight against corruption to extend that majority of Ghanaians now hold the impression that for one to survive, one has to bribe.
“What is now obvious is that corruption has won the fight (against Ghana) under the leadership of Akufo-Addo/Dr. Bawumia. Why won’t corruption be victorious when the leader of the nation has been described as the “Mother Serpent of Corruption” by the now-former Special Prosecutor, Martin A. Amidu”.
Touching on the recent interview that President, Akufo-Addo had with one International media, the Citizen watcher noted that the President was being dishonest regards to his record on corruption.
“Akufo-Addo may have distinguished himself as he claimed in the CNN interview on the subject of corruption, yes, as the leader under whom corruption has won the fight against Ghana. He has distinguished himself as the leader under whom anti-corruption crusaders have been crushed. He has indeed distinguished himself as the President who failed to use the word corruption in the State of the Nation Address (SoNA) in the last thirteen years.”
