Builsa South MP to lobby for 3 Police Posts to fight crime in communities

Member of Parliament for the Builsa South Constituency, Dr. Clement Abasiinaab Apaak has called on chiefs and opinion leaders in the constituency to assist him to put appropriate measures in place to end crime-related issues in the areas.

Dr. Apaak who raised concerns about the increase in criminal activities in the area, especially armed robberies noted that the matter can only be put to rest when there is police visibility in vantage places in the communities.

Addressing chiefs and Sub-chiefs in the constituency during a ‘Thank You Tour’, the MP explained that he was in talks with the interior minister and other security experts to see the way forward as plans were far advanced in the lobby for three police posts in Kanjaga, Doninga, Uwasi to help arrest the situation.

He said “As Chiefs and Sub-chiefs, I will appeal to you all to always assist the police by exposing criminals and other suspected criminals in your communities to the police. I will also meet with the District Police Commander to discuss matters of security. And all these, I hope we can collectively help bring to rest crime-related issues in the area.” 

Meanwhile, the Builsa South District is still without a district police station, a situation the MP has promised to work with other relevant authorities in security to avert the struggles of the constituents.

Dr. Apaak however expressed his profound gratitude to constituents for the massive support given him and to the former President John Mahama, the flagbearer in the 2020 elections.
