The Upper East Regional Security Council (REGSEC) has placed a temporal ban on the use of motorcycles in Doba and Kandiga.
The ban which took effect on May 18, 2021, will take place within the curfew hours of 4:00pm to 10:00am each day.
The statement further stated that the decision was taken in consideration of a recent court ruling on the land dispute and events around the intention of the former MCE to bury his mother at Kandiga, coupled with increased tensions between the two communities.
