Vice-chancellor of the Bolgatanga Technical University Prof. Samuel Erasmus Alnaa has said that for a nation to develop, it must imitate others.
He said the only way a country can develop is to develop technical education to empower its students to develop technologies that solve their problems or improve existing ones.
Prof. Alnaa stated, that China is now a superpower in the world because it took innovation from other countries and tried to create similar products out of them which they later improved upon such innovations.
Prof. Alnaa who was speaking on personality profile on Day Break Upper East show on A1 Radio said by imitation one learns to produce innovations that address their particular needs or produce a superior product that can solve everyday problems.
He said authorities of the university are working hard to ensure that the institution is the preferred institution for technical education especially in agriculture and solar engineering in the north.
He said asked government to put more resources into technical education to accelerate the development of the country.
