Communication Team Member of the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP), Kamaldeen Seidu has stated that the National Democratic Congress (NDC) is only interested in politicking and spewing propaganda statements about the Free Senior High School program and its implementation.
Mr. Kamaldeen, who was speaking in a panel discussion on Day Break Upper East show on A1 Radio said the wards of NDC members have benefited so much from the Free SHS programme so they really do not have anything to say against the policy except playing politics with it.
Stressing the outcome of the results of Free SHS graduates in the just ended WASSCE exam, Mr. Kamaldeen said, the student passed the exams excellently attesting to the effectiveness of the Free SHS policy.
He disputed the claim that, teachers and headteachers who speak about the challenges of the Free SHS policy are being punished by transfers to other schools as it is only a propaganda tool by the NDC and dared the NDC to come out with evidence of their claim about who has being transferred because of speaking about Free SHS.
Meanwhile, a member of the communication team of the NDC, Micheal Anamkena chastised the NPP government for the poor implementation of the Free SHS policy citing the overcrowding in classrooms and lack of infrastructure.
In his view, the NPP government has done a bad job in implementing the Free SHS policy which has brought more hardship to parents than its intended purpose.
