Police arrests two in connection with Butrisa – Fumbisi road robbery

Police in the Upper East Region acting upon reliable information have arrested two Fulani men on June 18th, 2021 at Fumbisi suspected of orchestrating armed robbery attacks on the Butrisa – Fumbisi road.

The suspects, Mumuni Bukari and Sediki Gomburi were spotted in Fumbisi township by residents and the police were immediately informed about their presence.

Information available to A1Radioonline.com indicates that, three out of five victims who were called to identify the suspects were able to emphatically identified the suspects with narrations on how they were individually dealt with at robbery scene by the suspects.

The suspects upon interrogation claim they are from Tantala in the North East Region

Police believe the suspects have informants in town who feed them with information to operate and they always sneak into Fumbisi town and after each robbery, they would never be seen.

The Police is therefore cautioning the public not to habour criminals as it is an offence, instead, they should alert the police anytime they find a suspicious character in their communities.

Upper East Regional Police Command is therefore assuring residents of a robust posture to dealing with all such violent crimes in the region and call on them to partner with them through information sharing.

Meanwhile, the suspects have been detained into police custody to assist investigations and would be arraigned before court on June 21, 2021.
