President Akufo-Addo, has vowed that with the recent reports of the upsurge in criminal activities, his government is putting in measures to strengthen the security agencies especially the police.
The President says, for the security agencies to vigorously combat the recent crime, they need to be properly equipped and will make sure his government provides them with the necessary logistics.
President Akufo-Addo, who is on his working visit to the Upper East Region noted that his government is committed to ending any crime-related issue in the country hence will not rest till all crime is brought minimize.
He said, the government is putting in structures that target strengthening the police as well as increased the police visibility at various vantage points.
Stressing on the police visibility, the President noted that, one of the roadmaps his government has taken and will be taken is to expand the service through increasing police recruitment as well as providing apt structures.
With a call on the public, the President seeks their support and confidence; adding that his government is on course and will provide the needed protection that citizens need to be safe.
