200 women supported with fertilizers to boost their farming activities in Kassena Nankana Municipality

Ribufar Enterprise Foundation, a nonprofit organization based in the Kassena Nankana Municipality of the Upper East Region has supported 200 women farmers with fertilizers and other farming inputs to boost their farming activities.

According to the Director of the Ribufar Enterprise Foundation, Richard Akoka, rural women ought to be empowered and motivated to help in the production of agricultural produce in the region.

Speaking in an exclusive interview with A1radioonline.com, r Akoka noted that these women numbering up to 200 will receive four bags of fertilizers each to help facilitate in their farmlands.

“As an organization, every year we see it as a duty to support these less privileged women who have taken farming to be their sources of livelihood. So, we see it as a mandate to show our little support as it will go a long way to help them get good yields. Remember, some of them have families to take care of, so without our intervention, you can imagine.”

He said that due to his experience with them, the women have now become part of his organization hence will continue to render support to them at any time.

Some of the beneficiary women however thanked the organization and its CEO for the kind gesture with a pledge that they will make good use of the fertilizers.

They added that due to the timely intervention by the organization, some of them are planning how to increase their farm sizes.
